Registration is now closed.  The next steps in preparation for the season are to take all the registered kids and volunteer coaches and get the rosters and teams formed.  This will happen over the next few weeks.

Once the teams are formed and we know exactly how many teams we will have in each age group our scheduler begins forming the schedules for the rec teams.  The competitive teams have already been scheduling games and tournaments since November and are mostly complete at this time.  The Rec teams and TBall teams are different, in that they mostly play an in-house schedule, so we need to know how many teams we have before we can schedule the seasons.

Coaches for the Rec teams will be contacted in March and all the rosters will be set.  The final season schedules will be posted by the end of March.

If you are playing on a Competitive/Select baseball team you need to make sure you have an approved bat.  We have posted information in the past on the new rules for USSSA teams, but the Nebraska USSSA office has recently posted a nice, simple document.

An approved bat must be used in sanctioned tournaments.

In short, to be 100% in compliance, your bat must have the logo shown here on it, or be wood.

GYSBA is not enforcing the new bat rules in the Rec leagues.  You can continue to use your current bat.
